With Operation Second Wind you can; with a minimum 320 hour a year commitment or half-time 950 hour in a year commitment you could receive a “living allowance stipend” plus an education award at the end of your service to be use toward student loans or continuing education for doing good work in the community. Bridging AZ is working with Mesa United Way to offer full and part time positions. It works like the PeaceCorps but you would work on domestic issues right here in Mesa Arizona. Veterans encouraged to apply.

We have Half-time (20 hours per week) positions available as a participant you will receive a monthly stipend of $585.21 (before taxes) plus an education award of $2,907 after your year of service to be used toward continuing education, student loans or if participant is 55 years or older, the education award can be assigned to one of their direct decedents. .
